I remember one time someone in my history class said slaves would make up narratives just to make their masters look bad. And that you can’t trust everything you read.

I looked at my teacher and I said, “If you don’t say what you need to say I will say it in a way no one wants me to.”

She’s so nice and neutral.

The folks in that class got on my EVERLASTING nerve.

Slaves just made up their oppression

Whoooo don’t let me catch her on the streets
