is the classic ‘DAMN self’ phrase omg
Like
‘I bought this house by my DAMN self, I don’t owe you anything!’
‘I figured it out my DAMN self!’
‘You better buy that shit your DAMN self! I’m not buying that!’

Wherein the hen is black and says, ‘I BAKED THIS BREAD BY MY DAAAN SELF.’
“I can do bad all by my damn self”
I’m partial to “-ass” as a suffix for everything.
“Get yo blackass in this house”
“That’s some serious-ass shit”
A rare one I had to describe to a class that I enjoy is “siddity” as in “high siddity”.
A lot of the words my grandma and her folks used have died out.
OOOH I say siddity ALL THE DAMN TIME!!!!
God I love AAVE

My favorites are triflin and bougie. I’ve always wanted to call someone a triflin ass nigga, but the opportunity hasn’t...
Yup, ‘da fuq i look like?’ is one of my fav’s too. Along with that is ‘shawty’, that word is everything.
you got me fuck up/the fuck I look like. the latter is fairly new but still vital to my vocabulary.
And even when it’s spelled differently, or we don’t all use it regularly, we mostly still get it. We were discussing...
