Lancelot was not English. Most sources claim him as French. And sometimes part Fairy.
Number two: a lot of old sources indicate not only was he not beautiful and blonde and blue eyed, he was fucking ugly, bro, and that was a reason people were so shocked Guin was fucking him.
Number three: People of color existed in many, many European lands when these legends were first written down. The Moors were a well known influence and have been included in a lot of different aspects of myth and legend, and they weren’t the only ones.
I’m sorry if your history books white washed everything, or that you are so ignorant you can’t accept a fantasy character as anything other than white when there’s a lot of evidence of people of color chillin in France and England and Spain and shit back in the day, but keep that ignorance to yourself.
You don’t know Arthurian Legend just because you watched the fucking Sword in the Stone, okay?
You just don’t, so step off your ideas of what Lancelot was, what Arthur was, what any of them were cos I’m here to tell you, none of them were perfect, there was a fuck ton of drama, and not everyone in those fucking stories was White English.
