Chris Cobb, an artist based in San Francisco, has created an amazing installation in bookshop called Adobe Books- he catalogued every single one of the 20,000 books by color. The project is titled There is Nothing Wrong in This Whole Wide World. They were arranged by hand over a 10 hour period, and he enlisted the help of 16 volunteers. Such beautiful results, they transformed the bookshop overnight.

Oh, it’s pretty. It drives me nuts, though. I look at it and just—it’s a bookshop. If you want a For Dummies book or something, fine. Eye the yellow section. Want something else? Something where different editions have different dust jackets and spines?
I just. I can’t. I want to be able to find something easily, and skimming along the spines of a shelf of red books isn’t easy. It’s just crappy.
Exactly. It’s pretty but it’d be hell finding anything.

I want to visit this book shop!
My mom did this with one of our home bookshelves and it ended up really cool looking.
